As a Clinical Psychotherapist, I integrate my background and many years as a Registered Nurse, Master Addiction Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide the best of all worlds for your treatment plan.  People Magazine 1991 quoted "Michele Downey has a unique intervention based therapy practice".

As a Master Life Recovery Coach, I provide services specific for the goals in your life, such as accomplishing your career dreams. I also teach those who wish to become a Life Coach with my unique "MDM" (Michele Downey Method).

As owner of the "Outpatient Institute", I provide outpatient programs unique to people with mood disorders and addictions for hospitals, clinics, recovery homes and those in the healthcare industry.

As the developer of the only Recovery Life Coaching School in the United States whose coaches are both active in their 12 step recovery programs and have personally completed years of their own personal therapy work, I am proud to have a quality Life Coaching School. I am also successfully integrating and practising "tele-psychology"..which could also be called "tele-therapy, tele-coaching, tele-counseling" since my expansion to LA.  I am able to save my clients time, money and energy by having sessions by Skype or by the telephone.  Although initially, I try to meet face to face, as the therapy/coaching progresses, most people find it more effective if we can work with our goals with these additional methods of communicating.  Skype is free and anyone with a computer and a camera can physically see and talk to anyone literally around the world, globally. I am happy to offer a free 15 minute interview to discuss this option as my current clients and I have had excellent results.
