Laura Layton has been a Certified Recovery Life Coach with Michele Downey and Associates since 2011. She also has a certificate in domestic/relationship violence from RVARS.
In recovery since 2005, Laura has learned a number of tools helpful in managing addiction, codependency, depression and pain management
She and her husband, Jason, have a blended family with 4 children, all of them diagnosed with learning disorders and ADD/ADHD.
She has traveled extensively and has lived in Italy, Mexico, Germany and France.
She studied art at the Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy, French at L’Ecole Privee de Langue Francais de La Cote d’Azure in Provence, France, Linguistics, Italian and French languages at the Liceo Linguistico in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.
Having suffered from undiagnosed depression as a young child, she understands how these children can feel “different” and misunderstood.
Laura’s passion is to help families with children who suffer from depression and/or any form of mood disorder or learning disability. She also wishes to share her experiences in order to help those with alcohol or drug addiction to live a fulfilling life in recovery.
