Lisa is a Postpartum Doula certified through the National Association of Postpartum Care Services (NAPCS) and has taken classes with Doulas of North America (DONA). She also has a certificate in domestic/relationship violence from RVARS. She has worked as a preschool teacher for 2 years and with infants for more than 20 years.
She lives in Carlsbad, California with her husband and son. Her hobbies include photography and scrapbooking.
Lisa was born with a special gift – the ability to “read” the needs of a newborn. Babies are her passion and, as a newborn expert, she feels it is her spiritual purpose in life to help nurture parents into their new roles. Past clients have described her as being a “gentle baby whisperer”
She has a strong background in parent-child attachment, family support, baby guidance and advice. She specializes in recognizing postpartum depression and is able to offer the best referrals possible – psychiatrists, psychologists, pediatricians, etc.
It is Lisa’s belief that all families are unique and deserve compassionate support during this important life transition. Her goal is to instill confidence, skills and resources needed to build a strong and successful family foundation, and she is honored to be a part of that process!
